We are pleased to announce the release of a new version of Write-N-Cite (Windows versions 4.3.1217 and Mac versions 4.3.1203) called ProQuest for Word.  ProQuest for Word allows users to:

  •  access references in RefWorks (without the need for a group or authorization code)
  •  access references in Flow

Note:  You cannot use references from RefWorks and Flow in the same document.  ProQuest for Word simply allows access to a user’s references in  RefWorks or Flow

When you click on the “ProQuest” tab in word, you choose whether to log in to your RefWorks account (and once you are logged in, ProQuest for Word becomes Write-N-Cite) or whether you want to log in to your Flow account (at which point it becomes Flow for Word).  Any RefWorks user can use ProQuest for Word, regardless of whether they have a Flow account.

Upgrading to ProQuest for Word is not mandatory – you may continue using previous versions of Write-N-Cite if desired.

This update may require the assistance of your IT department if you are using a public computer or you do not have sufficient rights to install software.
