We’re pleased to announce that we’ve made improvements to the sharing feature of RefWorks. Users are now able to view shared folders (and subfolders) from other users. They can be viewed directly in your RefWorks account just as you would view your own folders. Shared folders are also visible from the Quick Access Bar and are distinguished from your own folders by a sharing icon. Integrating shared folders into your account makes it simple to add shared references, as well as view multiple shared folders.

We’ve also made it easier to view a folder from the Shared Area Page within your account.

We purposely waited to release these updates in order to give admins time to review changes and make any updates to their own documentation. In addition, we’re currently working on new videos that will be available shortly.

Along with the new enhancements, you’ll find that issues with exporting and usage statistics have been resolved.

New updates to the RefShare portion of the Help file are available on the Sharing A Folder Or Your Database Overview (http://www.refworks.com/refworks2/help/refworks2.htm#RefShare_Overv...) and Navigating a Shared Folder or Database page (http://www.refworks.com/refworks2/help/refworks.htm#Using_RefShare.htm).

Please feel free to direct users to the updated help file. We hope you enjoy these enhancements.
