I would like to add a ‘degree type’ (or some equivalent) field to the Thesis reference type, under the category of Bibliography. However, it is not listed as an available field in the Citation Style Editor.

Please can someone help?

hello Robert,

I see the field "degree type" in the Thesis reference type, see the screenshot attached. Maybe it was added in the meantime?

Thanks very much for trying to help!

That is very interesting. So, I too can see the same screen as you when selecting reference type when creating an item. What I can't do however, is see those same fields when I find 'Thesis' in the Citation Style Editor (see attached).

Weirdly, the two are connected (I tried changing the letter case to uppercase on all thesis titles and this changed all references categorised as thesis in my library). My issue, then, is why certain fields appear when creating (and editing) an item but not in the Citation Style Editor?

Any thoughts?

P.s., I also cannot add the 'degree type' field in the Thesis reference type when in the Citation Style Editor.
